Here it is in the flesh! the new 2023 Corvette E-Ray completely uncovered!
This prototype was caught driving around Metro Detroit and looks nearly identical to the 2023 Corvette Z06 with the optional Z07 package. The one exception that stands out is the exhaust.
While the Z06 has a center exit exhaust setup, this prototype has the same outboard exhaust configuration as the C8 Stingray. Also we received word that the E-Ray sounds much different than the raspy and high-revving Z06.
The Corvette E-Ray is expected to mate the 6.2L V8 from the Stingray with a hybrid configuration, adding a new model to the Corvette family. Expect a launch toward the end of the 2022 calendar year as a 2023 model.
